Lead-line rides · confidence creator
Tanzy is our kid-rides lead-line unicorn. She has so much patience and is truly our confidence creator. You know you're safe on her back, even if she's wearing a box spider costume she can barely see out of, or you drag her around in a giant rocket ship.
But watch out: she loves to eat, and her pull toward food is a powerful one.
The wise old man · co-op teacher
Lucky is our old man. He earned his name honestly: he was won in a $5 raffle as a young horse. We learned and grew together. Lucky was the first Horse in our pasture.
He has raised a few kids and taught in a homeschool co-op on several occasions. These days he spends most of his time watching the younger horses as they keep us learning and carry on his heritage.
Learning to trust
Commander is our best teacher when it comes to our own anxiety and learning to trust. Trust doesn't just happen. Commander is learning to trust us, just as we learn to trust God.
Trust is built one day at a time, in every moment and experience. God understands our anxiety, and He is here to give us His patience and understanding when we look to Him.
Yester-Year is our collection of horses who gave of themselves to teach us what we know today. We wouldn't be where we are without them, and they're in our hearts forever. Some have gone to new pastures and others to God's pastures.
