One horse for one hour can accommodate approximately 10-20 horse rides depending on the braveness of riders. Each ride can be 2 to 5 minutes long.
We may refuse rides to any person for any reason including, but not limited to fearfulness of rider, weight of rider, or other safety hazards, such as lack of safe footwear (closed toe shoes), etc.
We are not responsible for wear and tear done to landscaping or property. We cannot provide rides on rock or pavement.
We require grass or dirt to walk on; rides on rock or pavement can hurt the horses' hooves. The walking area needs to be free from trip hazards, wires, uncontrolled animals, unsupervised roaming children, fireworks, gunfire, aboveground and underground obstacles and anything else that could interfere with safe handling and riding.
The best practice is to have a 200 linear feet long trail. The path should have as few sharp turns as possible because turns can be sometimes unnerving to a new rider.
We ask for the approximate ages of children that will be participating. This helps us determine the appropriate size horse and saddle to bring. Some horse and saddle combos have rider weight limits. Although we do our best to accommodate any requests, we reserve the right to bring any available horse, and our main priority is the safest horse for the job.
Please ensure there is a firm area to park the truck and trailer upon arrival. The Truck and Trailer can weigh up to 14,000 lbs. We prefer to park along the street, if possible, we will need to plan for the ability to turn around.
We require a window of 1 hour prior to event for set up and 1 hour after event for tear down.
We will need a staging area of approximately 10ft x 25ft to set up a horse mounting block and a fence, table, and booth area.
We may bring an extra horse to allow for animal breaks or to accommodate a multitude of rider sizes without equipment changes. This horse may need a safe grassy area to be stored in. The extra horse will need approximately a 10ft x 10ft area. We will bring our own fencing or a tie out stake to secure this horse with.
